Jeff Rose is the founder of Harriman Partners, a media and venture company, and a longtime leader at the intersection of entertainment, technology, and consumer brands.
An industry veteran, Rose has played a key role in projects that have gone on to earn first-time Academy Award and Emmy Award recognition, often working at moments of major industry dynamics.
Across marketing, independent film, news, television, and streaming, Rose’s career has consistently centered on disruption and growth. His work includes acclaimed feature films and documentaries such as Waitress, the indie hit acquired by Fox Searchlight Films and later adapted into a Tony-nominated Broadway musical, which continues to tour worldwide
Early in his career, Rose became one of the youngest agents at the William Morris Agency, focusing on independent film. He was later recruited as Vice President of Production and Acquisitions on the original executive team at Miramax Films during its rapid expansion. The final feature film overseen by Rose and his division was the acquisition of Cinema Paradiso, which became the studio’s first-ever Academy Award winner.
Years later, Rose led the creation of Amazon Studios’ first public relations organization. In that role, he helped launch a wide slate of programming, including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Amazon’s first Emmy Award–winning series, as well as the studio’s entire slate of scripted dramas and unscripted television programming.
Earlier, as Senior Vice President and one of the first employees at Channel One Studios, Rose helped shape a new generation of media talent. During his tenure, he played a role in launching the careers of Anderson Cooper, Lisa Ling, and Serena Altschul. Channel One News reached a daily audience of eight million teenagers, the largest teen news audience ever, and was later sold to private equity giant KKR.
Rose is also the co-founder of The Rose Group, a public relations and marketing firm known for its work on consumer brands and complex corporate and international issues. He led crisis communications for high-profile matters, including the release of U.S. journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee who were held in captivity by the North Korean government.
At The Rose Group, he also oversaw communications for major entertainment companies and consumer brands, including Village Roadshow, Sony, CNN, Warner Music, Starbucks, Chrysler, Design within Reach and SKYY Vodka, among others.
Prior to founding The Rose Group, Rose served as Managing Director at B|W|R, where he helped guide the firm through its largest growth in the agency’s history and then its subsequent sale to global advertising leader WPP. His career began even earlier at Rogers & Cowan, where he started in the mailroom as a teenager, became a publicist at age 20, and launched the agency’s first new division, turning it profitable before age 21.
Beyond business, working to shape the future of Judaism in America, Rose led the building of Idaho's largest and first new synagogue in nearly a century, the Wood River Jewish Community, where he currently serves as President. Additionally, he sits on the National Board of the Reform Judaism movement, the URJ (Union for Reform Judaism).
Rose is a graduate of UCLA, where he earned a BA in political science and served as the university’s concert promoter. He is married and the proud father of two.
